About Marie Rose

Hello! My name is Marie-Rose. I am 30 years old and I currently live in Sturbridge, MA. I earned BA in English from Bridgewater State University, with a minor in Management in 2007. After college I began working as an Account Coordinator/Executive at an advertising agency. I learned a great deal and had some great experiences during my time in advertising, but I knew in my heart I wanted to work with children. This led me to enrolling in the Early Childhood Education License program at Worcester State University in 2011. I earned my ECE License in May of 2015. I have always loved caring for children. I have provided childcare for families since high school, but became a nanny in 2011 for a family in Worcester who, at the time, had 1-year-old twins. I stayed with the family part-time for 2 years. In the past three years I have provided part-time childcare for children ages 8 months-11 years, and have gotten to work with many families. In my experience I believe working together with parents and other caregivers is a necessity in providing the best care for the children. Open communication is one of my biggest priorities and I feel it is extremely important to be on the same page with parents. I also believe that children are cared for best when their interests are taken into account. I try to get to know the children I care for, and learn their interests. I am an animal lover, and have experience caring for family pets. I grew up with a Golden Retriever/Lab mix and cannot wait to get another dog! I love reading and I am a member of a book club and love all genres but my favorite are memoirs. I enjoy cooking very much and my favorite dish to cook is definitely my great-grandmother's tomato sauce and pasta! I travel as much as I can and my favorite destination so far has been Honolulu, Hawaii. I also love movies, listening to music, spending time outside, and spending time with my family and friends. I have a passion for children's charities and have taken part and have been a team captain for The Jimmy Fund Walk since 2009. I hope you learned a little about me, and I look forward to meeting you!
