I am a retired guidance counselor and math teacher and have taught Saxon algebra one and geometry, at New Hope Academy a private school in Prince George's County Maryland for 20 years. I have tutored elementary school and middle school math and have also worked with special education students, developing 504 plans. I have worked with diverse populations of students overseas in Liberia west Africa and Moscow Russia . My approach is to make math as concrete as possible and to break down problems into simple steps. I have been substitute teaching online for a year for Montgomery County Public Schools using zoom. I will be teaching online at this time.
