About Marissa

Hi there, my name is Marissa. I am a credentialed elementary school teacher. I have tutored and nannied for over a decade and taught in my own classroom for the last 5 years. I love being out in nature, doing nature walks, beach trips, paint days at the park, making art, bike rides, roller skating, etc. Ideally, I am looking for a family who would like to add in academic segments where your child and I can do fun science experiments, and learn new things about the world that surrounds us or something that is peaking your child's interest. As the world of education is changing, I am looking to use my skills in a private setting. I can help with homework, creating engaging Science and math activities to engage your child in learning. I have been extensively training on reading foundations and extensions. I can help build confidence in your child through 1:1 academic while also having fun!
