About Marissa

It has always been my goal to work with children in some capacity for as long as I can remember. Growing up I babysat for neighbors on occasion and loved taking care of my younger brother when he was a baby. I have a large extended family and am used to being around children. I have taken as many child related classes from high school through my college career as I could. In college my main focus was on early childhood studies pertaining to elementary aged children. I spent about five months volunteering in a Kindergarten classroom as a teacher aide at a local school. During those months my love of helping children continued to grow and that experience is one I will forever cherish. My time in the classroom taught me the importance of being a good role model because children are always watching you. I am a very organized person. I work well with schedules and follow direction. I love art, reading, being outdoors and animals.
