Hi everyone! My name is Markita, my particular strength and passion is taking care of infants 0-1 years. I am new to the area; I recently moved to the area (Minneapolis) for a Marriage and Family Therapy program at St Mary's. When I care for infants, my priority is to meet their needs and bond with them (playing, talking, singing, going for walks, etc). I grew up with many babies and children around me, so I have years of informal experience; formally, I just finished working with an amazing family for around 5. 5 months. I was reluctant to leave, but with the move I couldn't make the commute time work. My program is full-time, so I'm looking for around 30 hours per week. My availability is pretty wide open though, I can do day/evening hours Tuesday-Sunday. I'm hoping to find a family to work with long-term. I appreciate flexibility and value mutual trust between us. I will be CPR certified as of 7/17/2024.

Markita was absolutely incredible with our little one. He’s our surprise third and Markita was a huge part of making my third retry into the work world the easiest by far. I knew she gave him such attentive presence and intentional care from the first day, and was so supportive of the whole family/household. We miss her so much, but wish her well with her next chapter! She is such a gift for the whole family-anyone would be lucky to work with her!
