About Martha

I started working as a teaching aide at a Sunday school when I was 12 and have worked with children or adults with special needs ever since. I worked as a teaching assistant for a decade after school program and home care for adults and children with developmental disabilities for a decade as well. I was in college for two years split between Early Childhood Education courses at Rasmussen and Education at Century College. I stopped school when I became pregnant with my oldest. I have been a stay at home mom for 10 years and worked part-time all along. My 3 children and I own our beautiful home a half a mile from Maryland Avenue. We live in a quiet and family oriented neighborhood. We have lots of developmental toys and a fully fenced backyard with a swing set and outdoor toys. We have a pet rabbit named Velveteen who lives on the main floor of our home. In the summer we go to the beach/splash pad quite a bit and year round places like the zoo and other kids friendly events.
