About Mary Ann

I worked in a nursing home during and after nursing school. I was a nursing assistant. Several years ago I was a part time companion/assistant for a Dr. who had a stroke, and his wife hired me to care for him when she would go out or play bridge. He was a pediatrician and after picking my son up after school, I would take him to their home and he just loved talking with my son. At times, I would be responsible for helping him with his meals and bathing and when he was able, I assisted him in walking from room to room. More recently, I cared for my two parents for several years. I also took care of my brother when he had pancreatic cancer. At the end he was bed ridden and I bathed him and kept him comfortable. Gave meds. I enjoyed helping and caring for these sweet, kind, adults who are in need of our help now.
