About Mary

I worked with a lower functioning MRDD man, 35, for one and a half years. (I would make and take him to doctors' appointments, cook, clean, shop and keep him occupied and content. I even helped him lose 25 lbs.) I presently work with a higher functioning 59-year-old woman. (I make and take her to doctors, help with cleaning and companionship). I worked in a senior assisted living home for eight months (showers, bathroom assistance, dressing, feeding) and loved it so much I went to school and tested for my STNA ( state tested Nursing Assistant) license. I work with a home health agency at the present time also, traveling from home to home helping seniors with their needs, whether it be cooking a meal, helping with a bath or running errands. I enjoy seniors because they have so much wisdom and experiences to share. I love the satisfaction I receive in helping people.
