About Mary Kate

I am currently an at-home mom to my beautiful 3-year-old son. I'm looking to take on part-time childcare to earn a little extra income, as well as give my guy more social time with other kiddos. I love children and have felt so privileged to witness all the amazing ways they grow and learn and develop! I have quite a bit of experience with children: as mentioned I'm a mother myself; I am an aunt to lots of nieces and nephews (the oldest of which I nannied when she was an infant); I grew up as an older sibling to 4 younger brothers; and I used to be an elementary school art teacher. More recently I worked in campus ministry and then as a hospital chaplain for 5 years. Both of these roles demanded relevant caregiving skills like empathy, nurturing, creativity and patience.
