About Mary

I went to Providence College where I received my BA in Elementary/Special Education. I then attended Grand Canyon University where I received my Masters in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am in my sixth year as an 8th grade special educator in Fairfield, CT. I have worked with students with a variety of disabilities over the past three years. I help students with executive functioning, study skills, and accessing the curriculum by using differentiated instruction, creating parallel curriculums, and reviewing/reinforcing content area concepts. I am familiar with the middle school curriculum, as well as the elementary school curriculum, since I student taught in various elementary school classrooms for four years. I am athletic, outgoing, and love music. I have previous tutoring and babysitting experience, and have a passion for teaching!
