About Matthew

I have been working part time in a day care and preschool setting for 8 years now! I love learning about childhood development and have a ton of knowledge I have collected from experience, and my own research. I have worked with many kiddos through the years, including helping them with those big feelings. I am not afraid to sit with them through these feelings to teach and build the skills they will need to cope with life. I am all about kiddos learning through play and have a gentle approach that focuses on building communication and problem solving skills. While I am gentle I firmly hold boundaries revolving around safety and respect. If you have any questions I am open to them all! Lastly, I am transgender. I have no issues with people asking questions, but if you and your family are not comfortable respecting my name and pronouns, then I am probably not a great fit for your family.
