About Maura

I like working with kids because I love getting to creat fun activities and watch children grow. I'm looking for a job that will with fun and loving children that are well behaved and excited about the world. I started working with kids when I was 12, I began babysitting from time to time. When I was 17 I became a camp counselor for my Girl Scout camp I had attended for years prior. When I was 13 my mom has a surprise baby, I began being my family's child care for her during the summers, on weekends and for my parents get always. In my spare time, I like to go on hikes, play my instruments and do art. All of which I have learned to implement with the children I have been around One thing you should know about me is I am hard working, I easily implement set rules and guidelines while also maintaining a fun and enjoyable environment. My skills include teaching musical skills, being very creative and playful, and learning how to redirect children to avoid/deescalate meltdowns.
