About Maureen

After working over 30 years in the corporate/business profession I began the most challenging and rewarding task caring for my mother who had Alzheimer's. I took care of my mother for almost five years. Although the days were hard and sometimes I didn't know if I could do it, my mother died at peace and in her own home which she always wanted. I have no regrets her last few years were exactly what she wanted. Since my mother passed away I have help take care of a 98-year-old woman who had no family the girls that took care of her became her family for 2 years. The last 4 years I have been a caregiver/ friend to a 94-year-old woman who I cared for like I was caring for my mother. Hopefully this gives a little idea about me and my values.
