About Maureen

Hello. Having recently retired from a career in social work and a private counseling practice, I am now looking for positions in the community that allow me to care for children and/or seniors. Serving the community has always been important to me. In the roles I held in the mental health and education fields supporting children, adolescents, adults, and seniors and their families I sought to nurture, nourish, and care for those for whom I was responsible. My experience in education as a high school guidance counselor and elementary assistant principal, in addition to being the mother of two adult children, helped me understand the importance of supporting children's well-being and learning. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and would welcome positions that require a tutoring component.
