About Mckayla

I'd describe my personality as caring, adventurous, and creative. I enjoy working with kids because getting to see the spark in young children's eyes when they get to learn something new about the world is so inspiring. And, older kids are so energetic that it keeps me on my toes and going. I'm looking for a job that allows me to grow as an individual, makes a difference in someone's life, and one that maintains a healthy environment. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I would babysit for family friends on the weekends, watching kids from babies to 10 years old. After graduating college, I began working at a childcare facility where I worked in multiple classrooms from infants to 12-year-olds. In my spare time, I like to read, go to the gym, explore new things/areas, and work on my portfolio. I have certifications in identifying and responding to anaphylaxis, supervision of children, foundations in health and safety, and ACEs and trauma-informed practices.
