We recently hired McKenzie through Care.com for 2 weekdays and occasional weekend nanny services. Despite a thorough phone interview and in-person meeting where we discussed all details and mutually agreed on terms ($25/hour, plus mileage and expenses including her meals with my son), our experience was disappointing. McKenzie changed her schedule multiple times on short notice and canceled after just one service, leaving us without enough time to find a replacement. Additionally, she was not engaging with my son during their time together, often spending a significant amount of time on her cell phone instead of interacting with him. Having used Care.com for over 14 years, this has been our worst experience. We do not recommend McKenzie for families who rely on a consistent and engaging nanny schedule.
