About Megan

I originally chose psychology as my major because I am interested in potentially becoming a guidance counselor at an elementary school. My personal focus is early childhood because I enjoy taking care of, helping, and understanding children. I have worked as a part-time nanny for 2 girls for 3 summers (ages 5 and 8, now 8 and 11). I watched them 5 days a week, from about 9 a.m. until their mother arrived home from work around 6 p.m. During that time, I would fold laundry, clean the house, wash dishes, cook meals, and help them with homework and their summer reading. I was also responsible for driving the girls to their appointments and other extracurricular activities which included summer camps, swimming lessons, karate, etc. I made sure they were never bored, keeping them busy and creative with arts and crafts and games/sports outside! Drawing/arts and crafts are a personal hobby of mine. I was also a competitive swimmer and did track and volleyball in high school. I started babysitting my neighbor (4 years old then) when I was 15. I watched 2 girls as needed (ages 8 and 11) within the last 2 years. I currently babysit my cousin who is autistic (age 7) as-needed.
