About Melissa

I have been working with one family from Care. com since August 2018 and that job is coming to an end this August. I have been a full time ABA therapist for a now 5-year-old child with down syndrome as well as her 7-year-old sister. I have been caring for children as a nanny since the age of 12. I have cared for families with one child, up to four children ranging in ages from infancy to 12 years old. I have cared for typically developing children, as well as children with mental and physical disabilities. I am accustomed to planning activities for the kids, outings, play dates, as well as doing chores, and assisting with homework or any academic work parents want their kids to challenge themselves on. I have taught children how to swim, ride a bike, read, tell time, etc. I am also ok with doing cleaning around the house. I have been a certified swim instructor and lifeguard in the past, and am CPR and AED certified as well as certified in First Aid. I am good with pet care too.
