About Melissa

** I will be going to school for my CNA towards the end of October and will be looking for part time employment beginning in December ** My compassion for others comes from my brother (7 years younger) who was born with cognitive disabilities and cerebral palsy. God has used him to change my life. I provided respite care for my parents and others while I was attending college, and after graduation I worked with those who had sustained traumatic brain injuries. Even though I moved on from that job, I always enjoyed caring for others, whether it be family, friends, or even strangers. In 2019 I joined the Assist Ministry through my local church and serve those with varying disabilities. These precious people have become near and dear to my heart. In 2020 my husband and I took in our friend who needed a bone marrow transplant and it was a blessing to care for him during that time. And now, I am looking to come alongside a family and be a blessing to them and their loved one.
