About Mia

Hi, I'm Mia and I'd love to work for you and your family. The longest job I've had, which I still work at during the summer, is working for a swim school, teaching kids how to swim. It is a camp-based swim school so I work with kids from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. every day. In that time, not only do I teach them how to swim but I play games with them and take care of them in anyway that they need. This job has taught me a lot about how to work with kids; about what they enjoy, some of the challenges they face, how to communicate with them in affective/positive ways, and how to work with kids of all ages and backgrounds. I also have experience working with kids on the spectrum and educational disabilities. Every summer I'm trusted not only to give the kids a memorable summer but also to keep them safe in an environment that for most, is very new to them.
