About Michelle

I posses over 10 years of professional and personal experience in caring for the elderly, infants/youth, and individuals who are considered "special needs". From high school age into current day, I've held both volunteer and paid positions. I've worked at nursery centers on all sides of the city, as well as Southern IL. Simultaneously, I was providing in-facility services for adults with intellectual disabilities, and even had the opportunity years later to be trained on providing vocational coaching for young adults on the autism spectrum. With elderly care, I have a broad range of experience from in-home care to clients who are in rehabilitation or retirement facilities. On a personal level, I cared for my own great-grandmother, who was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia, for eight months. Other experience: Alzheimer's/dementia, wound-vac machine, dressing changes, oxygen and CPAP machines, ostomy/catheter care, mobility limitations, non-verbal communication
