My personality is friendly, loyal & assertive. Aging can be difficult, I have always been drawn to show senior adults compassion & remind them of their significance. Physical and mental decline is part of the aging process, but providing the best life is still possible and I genuinely enjoy creating that. I'm looking for a part time role that allows me to build a relationship with a senior that couldn't occur because they don't leave their homes on their own. My background was in intergenerational care. A few years earlier we had completed a walking my mother through the dementia lifecycle with dignity and joy. I have personally walked through the challenges of an aging parent with a long history of dementia. I understand the challenges and inconsistencies that are part of aging in general and the progression of dementia. I am a strong communicator and able to follow a families direction to implement care plan so to speak, to encourage their senior to thrive.
