Hello, my name is Mikayla! I am a recent graduate from UC Davis, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development. I have about two years of experience working at a private non-profit school in Davis, named Peregrine School. I spent one year working with preschool children, ages ranging from 18 months to 5 years old. I then spent the remainder of my time at Peregrine School working with the upper elementary grades (ages ranging from 8-12 years old) as an associate teacher. I assisted in teaching math, science, and language arts. Before my job at Peregrine School, I also worked as a nanny/tutor. I would describe myself as a very patient, kind and understanding individual. My education and experience makes it easy for me to be able to connect and understand children.
