I first began my teaching journey in 2010 and I have a passion for assisting others on their educational paths. My approach to teaching always includes creating meaningful connections with students so I can better understand their learning style and support their individual learning needs. I'm currently earning my Early Childhood Education certification. Over the years, I have tutored in a variety of capacities. I have been a 1-on-1 tutor for children when I worked as a nanny during my high school and college years. I particularly enjoy teaching phonics and helping children learn how to read. I have experience teaching mathematics to grades PreK-4 and thus I am confident in my ability to tutor in these subjects. Helping children through their education journey has been a great experience for me, it has taught me patience, empathy, and compassion for everyone I meet.
