I have 26 years of both paid and unpaid experience working with children from infant to the age of 12. I have experience with children with behavior problems and special needs such as intellectual disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. As a nanny, I was responsible for taking care of a family's 3 children on a periodic basis. The oldest was 2 but I started taking care of her on and off since she was 5 months old. Once the twins arrived, I took care of them from 2 weeks old until they were 4 months old. I would play with the oldest by doing outside activities and indoor art projects. When we couldn't go out, we always found something to do. I don't believe in sitting in front of the TV all day. When the children were napping I would do light cleaning and prepare food if it wasn't already prepared. I have an Associates in Early Childhood Education and have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education.

Miranda was great with my two boys, ages 4 and 2. You can tell she is knowledgeable when it comes to children. It was wonderful to see her incorporating and teaching sign language with them. She was very understanding and accommodating when we changed our plans around at the last minute. She has been very professional since our first exchange on Care.com.
