In a nutshell: I've taught English, History, Writing, and Desktop Publishing. My students have ranged in age from 10 to 21 and beyond, and I'm extremely proud to have won three Teacher of the Year awards while teaching for the Department of Defense in Japan. I love teaching and tutoring. Since my very first teaching job in NJ to my job as a publication's consultant, working with students has been an integral part of every job I've ever had since college. I've taught for the Department of Defense in Japan, working with both American students and Japanese students who were "attending university." One of my favorite teaching jobs was in Anchorage, Alaska, where students would cross country ski and ice skate during recess. My 7th and 8th grade classes combined, equaled 14 students. Because the classes were so small, I was able to take everyone with me to go see the President of the US when he visited Elmendorf Air Force Base in 1988. I have know Nancy for the past 19 years. She works as our yearbook representative. She is always willing to come in an interact with the students, train students on writing, design, interviewing, and anything else that we may need. She is always pleasant, respectful and hard working. She is very organized and completes tasks and projects on time. I am thrilled to work with her. Through this working relationship, we have become great friends.
