A Wonderful Nanny - Nubia We had the absolute pleasure of having Nubia as our nanny for five years, starting when our son, B., was just four months old. From the moment she joined our family, we knew we were in the best hands. Nubia didn’t just care for our son—she loved him like her own. As B.'s grandparents live out of state, Nubia became his “Chicago Nana,” and he adores her just as much as his own family. Don’t let her title of "Nana" fool you—Nubia is energetic, playful, and always kept up with B.'s endless energy. But what makes her truly special is her wisdom and nurturing soul, shaped by years of experience and the many children she has cared for like her own. In five years, she was never late. On the contrary, she was the one keeping everything running smoothly, from B.'s laundry every Thursday to tidying the kitchen without ever being asked. Even when I was running behind, Nubia was always understanding and patient. Her professionalism, dedication, and genuine love for B. made her an invaluable part of our lives. While we were excited for B. to start kindergarten, saying goodbye to Nubia as his full-time caregiver was bittersweet. Nubia will always be part of our family, and we can’t wait to spend holidays and special occasions with her. Any family would be beyond lucky to have her, and we hope she finds another wonderful family to share her love with—just as we were fortunate to experience.
