About Parkar

From a young age, I assisted my grandmother with babysitting, which taught me crucial childcare skills. In my senior year of high school, I worked with the Before and Aftercare team at Corvian Community Middle School, gaining hands-on experience in managing multiple children, helping with homework, creating engaging activities, and resolving conflicts. Later, as an SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Facilitator at SYDKIML, I visited summer programs for children aged 4-15, teaching emotional self-awareness and regulation through activities in a supportive environment. This experience highlighted how childhood shapes our development, sparking my interest in psychology and mental health advocacy for children. This passion led me to pursue a career as a child/adolescent psychiatrist. Currently, I am a sophomore at Howard University studying Psychology on a Pre-Med track.
