I became a caregiver when I took my father in to live with me in 2009, he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. I have extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of dementia - feeding, dressing and compassionate companionship. I was trained by my husband who was a CNA. Although memory issues are my specialization, I can also provide care to any senior. Services can include medication management, meal prep, engaging conversation, mental stimulation, singing, reading aloud, as well as transportation to shopping or doctor appts, or simply getting out of the house for a walk or drive. I have mobility experience and can operate a Hoyer lift (manual and battery operated). In addition, I am a trained behaviorist (CPI certified crisis management and de-escalation).
