My name is Patsy. I'm 61 years old. I moved to Dunnellon in June 2013 from Steamboat Springs, Colorado to be closer to family and help my folks. At this point in my life, I've re-evaluated my choice of work. I wanted to do something worthwhile and meaningful. I've been working as a Resident Care Aide for an assisted living facility for the past 8 years. I've cared for those with Parkinson's, Alzheimer s, Dementia, stroke victims, those in wheelchairs and with walkers. I believe, and have been told, that I have a special knack for this type of work. I have been friends with Patsy for twenty six years. When our children were young we helped each other with child care. I was always confident that Patsy was more than capable of handling any situation that came up. I believe her caring compassionate personality would be a very desirable characteristic in her care giving. She is an enthusiastic hard worker that takes pride in what she does. I did some housekeeping under her supervision and was impressed by her attention to detail and ability to communicate. I believe Patsy's kindness and desire to do a good job makes her a valuable employee.
