I was a CNA for approximately 10 years. I have worked both in the hospital and at 2 different local nursing homes. At one of those homes I worked several years in the Alzheimer's Unit, it was a challenge at times but overall I loved helping them with what they needed and always enjoyed how each minute sometimes could turn into a whole new adventure with them. My most recent CNA was working with Hospice, again an emotionally challenging job but, it was also very rewarding. I always felt honored to take care of those who were sharing their last days, months or even years in some cases with me. I have a very caring nature and have always treated my patients with the care and dignity they deserve.
