About Rachael

I'm an enthusiastic writer, reader, and educator who enjoys sharing my love for the written word with students of all ages - while helping to improve their skills along the way, of course! Writing and communication are vital skills in all subjects, and I'm here to help even the most challenged writers master them. I earned a Master's degree in Journalism from Boston University in 2022, and currently work as a Career Counselor at Bunker Hill CC. While at BU, I was a paid editor for the BU News Service and also taught/TA'd an undergraduate section of Intro to Communication. Beyond Bunker Hill and BU, I worked 2 years for a local education nonprofit, 2 years mentoring and tutoring elementary school students through AmeriCorps, and working as a peer writing tutor as an undergraduate. My goal has always been to empower students to find their agency and voices through writing. I look forward to supporting your student through the challenges they may face, while making it fun, too!
