About Rosemary

I accidentally came upon nursing aid work when I entered the field roughly seven years ago. I quickly realized that working with the geriatric population was one of my true passions in life. Although I absolutely love working in long term care facilities I've found that I'm unable to give the time/attention to each individual resident that I feel they require(and deserve). My most recent job experience hits much closer to home. I took FMLA time from my facility in order to give hospice care to both of my maternal grandparents. Both of my grandparents were at the last stages of their lives. I found my responsibilities with them more rewarding than anything I've ever done prior. My key statement is that my fiancé and I are not planning on having children because the resident(s) under my care become my children. The bond/trust that I establish with the resident is worth something no money could buy.
