I have a very close relationship to my grandmother, who has dementia. I learned the importance of caring for her without trying to change her. I am caring, respectful, and a good listener. I can provide nourishing food, conversation or quiet, and overall a space of respect and understanding. I'd describe my personality as grounded, honest, and open hearted. I understand the tenderness that can arise with aging. Elders hold a lifetime of experience and value that. I'm looking for a job where the relationship feels right; one of respect and mutual appreciation. I started caring for seniors when I was in my 20s - with my grandmother. In my spare time, I like to have tea, teach and practice yoga, walk, and spend time with my 6-year-old daughter and family and friends.
