About Samantha

I worked at an Adult Day Center where we accommodated the needs of dementia, Alzheimer's and many different special needs. I started as an assistant and worked my way up to the activities coordinator in just one year. I also took care of my friends grandfather who was suffering from Dementia for two years. I did light housekeeping, food prep, medication, and many more. I think my most important part of the job was being there to keep his mind and body active. I took him outside everyday so he could watch his tractors and cows. I also let him help with food prep when able. He was unable to walk or stand on his own so I do know how to properly transfer from a chair to the wheelchair or toilet.
