About Sara

I started working with kids when I was a young girl myself. My high school did a project every year where selected students to were able to leave school for the day to spend time with children with special needs at a park event. I didn't know it then, but I would later grow up to find my passion in social work and want to advocate for children with special needs and their families. In my spare time, I like to work with clay and craft earrings, pendants and little figurines. I like to read and play video games with my significant other. I also enjoy coloring and exploring new ways to paint. I enjoy working with kids because I love watching them grow and learn. I know it's cliché to say, but working with kids keeps me young and my imagination alive. As we get older, we inevitably lose our sense of wonder and imagination. Spending time with kids and seeing how they figure out how to navigate the world and ask questions and create new things everyday gives me hope for a better future.
