About Shakira

I'd describe my personality as optimistic, friendly and loving. I like working with kids because it makes me happy to see a child having all of their needs provided to them so they can flourish into the person that they are meant to be. I'm looking for a job that understands I am currently a college student and I prefer a personal relationship with parents. I started working with kids when I was younger because my mom was a elementary school teacher and after she retired, she would tutor kids and she would babysit them. When I turned 16 I started babysitting children and picking them up from school. I enjoy cooking and putting my own twist on classic recipes. Occasionally, I do my own personal projects like scrapbooking and gift baskets. One thing you should know about me is I plan on becoming a child psychologist after completing my degree. My skills include communication, classroom management, and decision making.
