About Shanel

I have experience working with the City of Sacramento's 4th R Child Care program at Crocker Riverside Elementary School since 2016, where I created a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. My academic background includes units in Psychology focused on Child Development. I hold a BA in Psychology and am currently pursuing a nursing degree to further my passion for helping others. As a Childcare Program Developer for the City of Sacramento, I also designed and executed engaging community-based events and educational programs, coordinating activities like field trips and special events to foster children's learning and growth. I have experience training staff and managing program logistics to ensure these initiatives run smoothly in the childcare field. I'm excited to bring my passion for teaching, playing, and learning with children to families in my community and look forward to helping kids develop in a positive, nurturing environment!
