About Shannon

I am a pre school teacher in a metro district. I have both my undergrad and Masters degree in Early Childhood. I've been a teacher for 20 plus years. I like working with kids to lay a foundation for them to enjoy school from day 1. I am creative and spontaneous. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, creative, and patient. I like working with kids because every day is a new day and kids are fun and busy. I'm looking for a job that is flexible and works with my schedule and is low stress. I started working with kids when I was 21, in college. In my spare time, I like to support my own 3 young adult " children" in their activities. This includes college sports for 2 of them. I also like hanging out with my dog, friends and hiking. My skills include encouraging learning while playing and having fun, helping child feel safe with me, and using my teaching skills and parenting skills together so the kids have a great time while in my care.
