Anyone who hires Shannon is a very lucky family. Shannon was very warm and friendly when we met her for her in-person "interview". I knew I was going to hire her after our initial phone conversation, but needed to ensure that we met her before actually hiring her. She immediately was engaged with our daughter when we first met her, which was really nice to see, because it was our first time hiring a part-time nanny to watch our baby girl. Shannon was with us for only a semester, because she had to move out west to complete her degree. During the time she watched our daughter, her responsibilities ranged from putting our baby down for her naps, changing her diapers, engaging her in activities during playtime, taking her to the playground, and feeding her on occasion. Our daughter went through a period of separation anxiety, but Shannon handled that very well. Shannon was always trustworthy and reliable. Shannon is also very good at following instructions, and also improving upon feedback. We were very sad to lose her. An added benefit with having Shannon as our nanny was she is an infant swimming instructor! She taught our daughter to be comfortable in the pool and playing in the water.
