About Shayla

I currently work in GCS as an EC ELA Teacher to middle school students. During my experience, I have worked with students with a variety of disabilities including autism and developmental disabilities. I have provided services through lessons, research-based interventions, managing data, creating IEPs, implementing accommodations and plans to reach IEP goals, assisting students in reaching personal goals, working with students on social skills, and transitional skills,. Previously, I was a third-grade and a first-grade teacher. I have also worked in my church's nursery with children ages 0-4 years old until 2019. During the time period, I watched children 0-4 years old, fed them, changed their diapers, played with them/kept them entertained, put them down for naps when needed, and cleaned up after them.
