Shelby started work with my family when my youngest daughter was 2 months old and my oldest daughter was 4 years old. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to be flexible and to learn quickly. We hired her as part of a nanny share with another family with a 3-month-old baby boy. She met the challenge of simultaneously watching two small babies under 6 months of age and exceeded my expectations. Shelby is diligent and very sweet. She has a natural affinity toward children and both of my daughters light up when she comes to the house to pick them up for the day. She relates to them both and is able to entertain them, feed them, and maintain a fun but safe atmosphere. Shelby knows how to interpret the needs and wants of a baby very well. My youngest daughter was difficult to get to sleep and I owe her good napping skills to Shelby. She is proactive and looks for activities in the area that are age appropriate for both children. When there are no scheduled activities available she is creative at making up art projects to entertain my children. Shelby is always on-time. She is very easy to communicate with via text, e-mail and phone. She is a responsible driver and has used my car for child transportation during her employment. She respects our personal philosophies while being confident enough to independently make day-to-day decisions regarding our daughters and I know she can provide excellent care for your children.
