My background experience includes working as a nanny for multiple families as well as working at daycares. I am CPR certified and I have First Aid Training. When working in childcare, I prioritize children's developmental growth and educational success. I write a weekly curriculum for each child I care for. I also check out books that I read throughout the day. One of my main goals is to foster a safe environment while helping children reach developmental milestones. I love sparking curiosity and creativity in kids by exploring nature, music, and academia. Shelly was our full-time nanny for our 14 month old for the last two months. She was always on time if not early, extremely honest and reliable, and very hardworking. Shelly brings a love for reading and literacy that is hard to match. During Shelly's time with our son, his communication skills grew greatly, as she spent hours reading, singing and talking to him each day, even checking out library books on her own and bringing her own props and toys. Shelly is a naturally very compassionate person, and her manner with our son was always kind and patient, allowing us to trust her completely. We never once worried that Shelly was not giving our son her full attention and care while with him. While our own childcare needs have changed and we no longer need Shelly's help, we know that she will be a great addition to another family.
