About Stacie

Hola families! I am a registered nurse with a master's degree in early childhood education and years of experience as a nanny, preschool teacher, and high school teacher. I used to work as a school nurse in an elementary school. I currently work as a maternal and child health nurse in the health department. I am looking to return to direct child care as I pursue my doctorate in early childhood education. I love the innocence, wonder and joy of children. I personally find them so much more interesting and entertaining than adults. I love to interact and help them as they develop and express their individual creativity and personality. I have done extensive volunteering in Latin America to include being a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic and a health care volunteer in Guatemala. I love to share my passion for Spanish language and culture. I love music, arts and crafts, dancing, outdoor activities, swimming, laughing and enjoying life.
