I have worked as a house manager for the other staff, managing the hours, meds, doc appts, food shopping, and more. I know how to use the sit to stand and the hoyer. I am looking for private home care. I am highly organized and a team player. Starr was a very lucky find for us when we were seeking a live-in caregiver for our mother. My mother always looked forward to when Starr was doing her shift because she was so attentive, and such wonderful companion who engaged my mother so well in both conversation and activities. Her compassion and genuine caring for my mother was always at the forefront. It’s difficult for seniors when they become increasingly dependent. It’s often not enough to simply take care of their basic needs (showering and general hygiene, cooking meals, administering medication). Having that warm friendly connection of true companionship and attentiveness is so important to this process. Starr excelled at this. She cared so much and was like a good friend that keeps you from getting bored or worried and brought a sense of fun and entertainment to my mother that was everything one could hope for! We recommend her without hesitation and will forever be grateful for her important contribution. She is a true blessing and we miss her.
