About Susan

I co-founded the only year-round professional theatre in the Adirondacks. I was Artistic Director which encompassed choosing all of the plays, acting, and coordinating educational programming. I also taught a variety of theatre courses at SUNY Potsdam. We needed a change and love the sea, so we moved to Portland 10 years ago. By chance I volunteered at The Parkside Neighborhood Center. I realized that I loved work/play with younger kids . The Parkside "job" led to a long term sub position at Head Start and then to my position at St. Elizabeth's Child Development Center. I was Assistant Teacher in the 3-4-year-old classroom. In addition, I often spent quality time in the 2-year-old and preschool classrooms. Then Covid-19 came along. After the lockdown, I decided not to return. For the last 3 years I have been a nanny for a family in South Portland. The youngest just went off to preschool. I look forward to the possibility of work with 1-3 kids in a safe and nurturing environment.
