About Sylvia

Hello! My name is Sylvia and I am a social work student at Hunter College. I love kids and have extensive experience babysitting, and working in preschools and summer camps. I am looking for a consistent babysitting gig in the evenings or on weekends. I particularly enjoy caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but have experience with all age groups. I'd describe my personality as friendly, caring, and honest. I like working with kids because of their curiosity and excitement about the world. I find it to be a recharge for me after working in stressful environments at my social work field placement. I'm looking for a job that will work with my school hours and is consistent. I started working with kids when I was in high school. In my spare time, I like to read, go on walks, and do yoga. My skills include entertaining children without the use of screens, comforting children, and supporting potty training.
