I am currently a nanny and have 17 years of childcare experience. I took a break from childcare to work for a senior living home. My duties there included- Responsible for well being of residents with mild/advanced memory loss. Involved residents with memory loss in daily activities that help them feel valued and provide them with a sense of purpose. Helped residents with activities such as gardening, cooking, exercise, etc. to help them maintain their functional skills longer. Developed relationships and tailored activities to the needs and interests of each resident. Communicated with families to discuss their loved one's status.
