About Tara

Hi I'm Tara, I'm a Psychology major at Rutgers University taking online classes from home in Pennington. I have a 4. 0 GPA. I've always been proficient in English, which is something I'm grateful to help improve in others. My writing has been published and I'm currently working on my poetry portfolio! As a literacy tutor I helped foreign language students attain their GED. I began babysitting in my early teens, which started my passion for child development. I've worked as a daycare TA (ages 0-5), hospital volunteer at Capital Health Medical Center, elementary school TA (ages 3-11), secretary of RU Big Buddy Club, member of Rutgers Psychological Alliance, and completed a child development research internship. Throughout these roles I taught reading and writing to a variety of different children, including those with learning differences. Being perceptive about each child's interests/learning style helps me get them engaged about the subject. That's when the learning happens!
