About Taylor

Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a senior at the University of St. Thomas where I am studying Communication and Journalism and Catholic Studies. Although I do not have paid experience caring for seniors, I take delight in caring for, conversing with, and listening to the elderly. My grandfather suffers from bipolar disorder and dementia, which has taught me compassion, patience, and empathy. In simply listening to my grandfather tell stories of his past and helping him get to places whether it be driving him or holding his hand while we go on walks, I have learned how much wisdom he provides. He also holds so much purpose in my life. Again, I do not have any paid experience, but I do have a desire to make it known that people of all ages hold a purpose in life and that they deserve to be cared for, conversed with, and listened to.
